In August 2026 the extension everyone used vanished from the Chrome Web Store overnight, mid-workday, with a warning that made it look dangerous. ScreenScroll is the answer to that: a full-page capture tool that does the job properly and does not phone home.
It scrolls the page first so lazy-loaded images have time to appear, hides sticky headers and cookie banners so they are not stamped over every section, and measures the real screen scale so nothing lands crooked.
Crop, boxes, ovals, lines, arrows, text and 50 stickers. Blur anything private. Undo and redo. Add padding, a border, and the page address with a timestamp.

The monthly ones are charging for cloud storage, screen recording and team sharing. ScreenScroll does not do those, on purpose, which is why it is a single payment.

No. That box is about the age of the publisher account, not about the extension. Google treats a developer as trusted only after they have followed the store rules for a few months, and ScreenScroll's publisher opened in August 2026. Until that time is served, anyone with Chrome's Enhanced protection turned on sees the notice on the way in. It has nothing to say about what the extension does. ScreenScroll asks for no permission to read your browsing, keeps every capture on your own computer, and uploads nothing. Choose Continue to install.
A screenshot tool has to be able to see whatever page you point it at. It only ever looks at the tab you are capturing, at the moment you ask it to.
