The short version. ScreenScroll does its work entirely inside your browser. The screenshots you take are never uploaded, never seen by us, and never shared with anyone. There is no account and no tracking. The only thing the extension ever sends anywhere is a licence key, and only if you buy Pro.
1. Who we are
ScreenScroll is published by Amplifai Your Business LLC, 118 Castlewood Drive, Apt 129, North Palm Beach, FL 33408, United States. Questions about this policy go to support@apps.amplifaiyourbusiness.com.
2. What the extension handles, and where it stays
| Data | Where it lives | Sent anywhere? |
|---|---|---|
| The screenshots you capture, including the page title and address stored beside them | Your browser's local IndexedDB storage, on your computer | No. Never. |
| Your settings (file format, paper size, colours, folder) | Your browser's local extension storage | No. |
| Your Pro licence key and a random install id generated on your device | Your browser's local extension storage | Yes, to our licence server, only when you unlock Pro and on a weekly validity check. |
3. What we collect on the server
If you buy ScreenScroll Pro, we store the email address and name you gave at checkout, the Stripe payment reference, the licence key issued to you, and the random install ids of the browsers that key has been activated on. That is the complete list. We use it to issue your key, to let you move it between your own browsers, and to answer you if you write to support.
The random install id is generated by your browser and is not derived from anything about you, your device, or your hardware. It cannot be used to identify you or to link you across websites.
4. What we never collect
- The content, pixels, text or addresses of the pages you capture.
- Your browsing history, open tabs, bookmarks, form entries or passwords.
- Location, device fingerprints, advertising identifiers or behavioural profiles.
ScreenScroll contains no analytics, no advertising software, and no third-party trackers of any kind.
5. Selling and sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise transfer your information to anybody, and we never will. We use exactly two processors to run the paid side of the product: Stripe, which takes the payment, and Resend, which delivers your key by email. Neither receives anything about what you capture. We are not paid by, and do not share data with, any advertiser or data broker.
6. Permissions, and why each one exists
- Access to the site you are on. A screenshot tool has to be able to read the page it is photographing. ScreenScroll only reads the tab you are actively capturing, at the moment you ask it to, and only to measure the page, scroll it, and take the picture.
- Storage. Keeps your captures and your settings on your own machine.
- Downloads. Saves the finished image or PDF to your Downloads folder.
- Scripting. Runs the short measure-and-scroll routine inside the page being captured. It is removed and the page is put back exactly as it was when the capture ends.
7. How long things are kept
Captures stay on your computer until you delete them, and the extension automatically trims its history to the number you set in Settings. Uninstalling ScreenScroll removes every capture and every setting from your machine. Purchase records are kept while your licence is valid and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting law requires.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the purchase information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to support@apps.amplifaiyourbusiness.com and we will answer within 30 days. Deleting your record will deactivate your licence key. Because the captures themselves never reach us, there is nothing for us to return or erase there.
9. Children
ScreenScroll is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date at the top and note the change on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
