Unlocking Pro

Click the ScreenScroll icon in Chrome, choose Unlock Pro, paste the key from your receipt email, press Unlock. The key looks like SS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Every tool goes live straight away, including in any editor tab you already have open.

I lost my key

Email us from the address you bought with and we will resend it.

I got a new computer

Just paste the same key into the new browser. Your key works on five browsers at once. If you have run out of slots, open ScreenScroll on a machine you no longer use, go to Unlock Pro and press Remove licence from this browser. If you cannot get to the old machine, email us and we will reset it for you.

Nothing happens when I press capture

Chrome blocks screenshots on its own internal pages: anything starting chrome://, the Chrome Web Store, and the built-in PDF viewer. There is no way around that and it is not a fault in ScreenScroll. Try it on an ordinary website.

The capture is cut off at the bottom

Chrome can only hold an image so large in memory. On extremely long pages the capture stops at that ceiling and the editor tells you it did. Everything above the cut is complete.

A sticky header repeats down the image

ScreenScroll hides short pinned elements, like navigation bars and cookie banners, before it starts. Tall pinned sections are left alone on purpose, because hiding those leaves a blank hole where real content should be. If a header still repeats, tell us the address and we will look.

My PDF came out as one long page

That is the free version. Paper sizes and page splitting are part of Pro.

Reporting something private

ScreenScroll never uploads your captures, so we cannot see anything you have made. If you believe you have found a security problem, email us and we will treat it as urgent.
